About Us

Australasian Fish Passage Services (AFPS) is a small, specialist provider of Fisheries, Fish Passage and Fish Habitat Rehabilitation services.

Our tagline “Ensuring the sustainability of fish communities throughout Australasia” is reflective of the attitude of AFPS. While we are committed to the protection of the fisheries resources of our region, we are also conscious that our fisheries are a resource that should be used by the recreational, commercial, indigenous and non-fisher communities.

As an organisation with therefore strive to implement common sense solutions that will maximise fisheries productivity, while maintaining natural native fish populations and habitat. This will ensure the enjoyment of our fisheries for current and future generations.

Tim Marsden is the principal of the company, he has had extensive experience in freshwater fisheries throughout Australia and in S.E. Asia. Tim has previously worked within both NSW Fisheries and Fisheries Queensland, accumulating 23 years of experience within the fisheries science community. Tim has led numerous fisheries projects that have successfully improved the fisheries productivity of many systems.
