Big Al's Brook 2020

AFPS worked in conjunction with Queensland TMR to undertake the relocation of big Al’s Brook due to the widening of the Bruce Highway. Relocation of the waterway required approval under Queensland legislation, which stipulated that suitable fish habitat components be incorporated into the reconstructed stream. AFPS instigated the design of several fish habitat elements including pools, riffle zones and undercut banks within the stream to ensure that it provided a diversity of habitats for the fish community of the waterway and met approval requirements.
