Dubbo Weir Rock Ramp Fishway 2016

AFPS staff Co-designed and supervised construction of, in conjunction with the Alluvium, a rock ramp fishway to make safe the existing 2.0m high weir on the Macquarie River near Dubbo, NSW. The design incorporated a central low flow channel for the majority of flows that occur at the site but included a broad vee shape that could cater for larger flows that occur frequently during irrigation releases and flow events. The new structure was built against the existing weir structure which was modified to cater for the fishway.
