Rookwood Weir 2021

AFPS worked in conjunction with Sunwater and GHD to progress the approval of Rookwood Weir and fishway. The incorporation of a suitable fishway into the weir structure was a condition of development of the site. AFPS refined the Fish Lock design to ensure that it met Queensland Fisheries approval requirements. AFPS also assisted Sunwater in the development of a suitable offset delivery plan to compensate for the habitat lost through the construction of the weir, and will be carrying out pre- and post-construction fish community monitoring.
