All Aspects of Fish Passage Construction

Sandford Weir Rock Ramp Fishway 2019

AFPS supervised construction of a rock ramp fishway to provide passage past a gauging weir on the Glenelg River near Casterton, Victoria. The design incorporated a large low flow channel for provision of fish passage at low river levels, which occurs for the majority of the time in the river. The design had a vee’d cross section profile that provided fish passage on the larger flows that occur infrequently in the river. Working in wet conditions the construction was completed within 3 weeks.
